Choose The Simplest Theme

Most of the time, if you choose a particular domain host with pre-made themes, you get several choices of themes. Of these themes, you’ll often find that they range from the simple to the complicated. If this is the kind of setup that you want, you are encouraged to go with the simplest one available. This can be a simple page with a few buttons and only one color for the background.

Limit The Items On The Page

Seeing a dozen links to different parts of the website scattered all throughout the page can be a huge distraction especially to website visitors. The same goes for when there are so many media items going off at once.

Make Your Navigation Intuitive

For a lot of people, visiting a website comes with a few simple expectations. There’s the Home page, About page, and Store page, among others. These should be prominently positioned and users should not have to work hard in order to find them.

Professional Content Structure

If you’re running a blog or a news publication of some sort, you want to make sure that your content is professionally structured. This means articles that are spaced properly, with paragraphs and sentences that are easy to read, and the like.

Stick With Simple Colors

Finally, you need to make sure that when designing your website, you stick with simple colors. Sure, you could go with fuchsia, have that clash with off white, and then sprinkled a little moss green, but that would look horrible. Clean and muted is always best.
